Love and Them

Love and Them

“Ross: Did she get off the plane? Did she get off the plane?

………… (beep beep beep) …………

Rachel: I got off the plane!”

-Dialogue from the “FRIENDS” series (if you know, you know😉

I don’t know why, but this climax dialogue between Ross and Rachel has remained with me. It is more than a conversation; it is a feeling of prioritizing love over everything else, of summoning the courage to give “us” another chance, and of holding out hope for a better future together. It is not easy to give the relationship, the sentiments, and the love that tore us apart from within a second opportunity, but they did it because they understood what they had for each other was too profound to let go of. Nobody else could ever be adequate for them because of the way they made each other feel; no one at any point could. Undoubtedly, the world was sitting tight for them to be together, and they also were somewhere, yet, as it has been said, timing is everything. Even though it seemed as if they would be parted for the rest of their lives, they were reunited when their time came. Hence, they returned as a couple stronger and with even more love that had been trapped within them for years. It is a scene that reminds us, no matter what happens, something that is made for us will find its’ way to us, regardless of how confounded life gets. Ross and Rachel were meant to be together, but time continued to put their love to the test until they chose one other above everything else. What message does it pass on to us? Well, what it imparted to me is that the emotion called love triumphs over anything and everything under the sun. Although, if you are not looking for it or running away from it, it will track you down and make you realize that it is the only certain feeling that brings life to your life, no matter how much you try and escape it. Love is something you can hang on to for the rest of your lives because everything else is evanescent.

P.S: Along these lines, remember, there sure will be many flights to board in life; but choose the one where you are to board with your precious one, or like Rachel, get off!

“Love is all that was, is and will be…”
